Council Facilities

Hound Parish Council own and maintains several facilities wihin the Parish:-

Recreation Grounds in Victoria Road and Station Road Netley Abbey, the King George V Recreation Ground in Old Netley and Butlocks Heath recreation Ground which is behind the Hound Parish Hall in Woolston Road, Butlocks Heath. Each recreation ground has a Football pitch, which can be hired from the Parish Office, although the Butlocks Heath pitch is only suitable for Junior Teams.

Allotments are available at two sites:- the first in Priory Road, Netley Abbey is a site rented by the Parish Council from Eastleigh Borough Council. The second is in Butlocks Heath and is situated behind the Recreation Ground.There are currently waiting lists for both sites

Burial Ground - The Parish Council owns and maintains the burial ground which is to the rear of the church cemetery at St Marys Church, Hound Road, Netley Abbey. Details of burials from 1960 are available from the Parish Office, earlier records are kept by the church.
Should you wish to make a reservation of a burial or cremation plot please contact the Parish Clerk.

There are two Parish Halls:- the Abbey Hall in Victoria Road, Netley Abbey is always very popular for weddings as it has waterside views. The Hound Parish Hall in Butlocks Heath is home to Woolston Road Preschool and has many other community groups using it regularly.
